Welcome to Calvary

Wow!  What a challenging time this last month has been studying through the Roman’s Road.  We were all challenged to write down our story: The story of how we came to faith in Jesus Christ.  Please continue to write down your story so that you will feel comfortable in sharing it with those around you.  I have heard such remarkable stories coming from the congregation of how they were reached for Christ.  I have heard of remarkable results from the sharing of even common stories of being raised in the church and developing their own faith.  Remember that we overcome the enemy by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11).  Continue to write down your testimony and be bold to share it when the opportunity comes.

Our next series will begin on July 12th.  We will be spending four weeks studying The Lord’s Prayer.  We will also be doing prayer walks in our community.  Please join us on these four Sundays as we seek God.  I believe that God wants to start a movement here in central Illinois that will sweep through the whole area.  It always starts with prayer.  Please invite a friend and I’ll see you there.

On July 5th we will be sending off our summer mission team to Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.  Please keep them in your prayers as they leave for this remarkable journey that God has led them on.  Please pray for them from the 9th-the 19th.  Also, there is still some financial need for this trip.  If God lays it on your heart to give please do so right away.
